CCI Approves Cyient’s Acquisition of Tao Digital Solutions

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Tao Digital Solutions Inc. by Cyient Limited. The approval was announced vide a press release dated 25th August, 2026. 

Proposed Combination 

Under the proposed combination, Cyient Limited will acquire the entire share capital of Tao Digital Solutions Inc. from its existing shareholders. Tao Digital Solutions Inc. is the target company in the transaction. 

Business of Cyient 

Cyient Limited is a public limited company incorporated in India. It provides engineering and technology services across sectors including aerospace and defence, automotive, rail transportation, healthcare and life sciences, semiconductors, energy, industrial manufacturing, utilities, communications and spatial intelligence. 

Business of Tao Digital Solutions 

Tao Digital Solutions Inc. provides digital transformation and technology services globally. Its operations span seven service lines: product engineering, managed services, cybersecurity, payments, digitization and AI, cloud services, and data services. 

In India, Tao Digital Solutions operates through its wholly owned subsidiary, Tao Digital India Private Limited. The CCI's approval relates to Cyient's proposed acquisition of the target's entire share capital from its existing shareholders.
