Central Government Notifies Eight Road Over Bridge Projects as Special Railway Projects in Madhya Pradesh

The Ministry of Railways issued a Notification, S.O. 618(E), on February 5, 2025, formally declaring eight specific projects for the construction of Road Over Bridges (ROBs) in Madhya Pradesh as "special railway projects." This declaration was made in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (37A) of section 2 of the Railway Act, 1989, which was amended by the Railway Amendment Act, 2008. The notification came into force with effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
