Central Government Notifies Land Acquisition for Railway Doubling Project in Telangana

The Ministry of Railways (South Central Railway) issued a Notification, S.O. 680(E), on February 10, 2025, declaring its intention to acquire land for a public purpose. These objections must be submitted in writing to the Competent Authority, identified as the Revenue Divisional Officer, Huzurnagar, outlining the grounds for opposition. The Competent Authority is mandated to provide the objector an opportunity to be heard, either personally or through a legal practitioner, and may, after due inquiry, either allow or disallow the objections. The order issued by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 20D of the Railways Act, 1989, will be considered final. Detailed land plans and other relevant information are available for inspection by interested parties at the office of the Competent Authority.
