Law Ministry Launches e-VSP Portal for Online Access to Hindi Legal Publications

The Ministry of Law and Justice has launched the e-VSP (Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan) Portal, a digital platform designed to provide online access to Hindi legal publications, including judgments of the Supreme Court and High Courts, legal journals, reference books and other legal literature. 

The portal was launched by Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal on 15th July, 2026. It can be accessed at vsp.gov.in. 

Purpose of the eVSP Portal 

According to the Legislative Department, the eVSP portal has been developed to provide a single digital platform through which law students, advocates, members of the judiciary, teachers, researchers and other stakeholders can access and download publications of Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan (VSP). The initiative aims to make Hindi legal literature available online to users across India and abroad. 

Key Features of Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan e-portal 

During the launch, the Legislative Department highlighted that the e-VSP portal is intended to: 

• Provide digital access to Hindi legal publications from a single platform.
• Enable users to search and download legal journals, books and reference materials published by VSP.
• Improve discoverability and accessibility of Hindi legal literature.
• Expand the geographical reach of Hindi legal publications.
• Connect legal publications in Hindi with students and younger readers.
• Support the use of Hindi in legal understanding and professional discourse.
• Create a wider ecosystem for the development of Hindi legal publications. 

Statements at the Launch 

At the launch of eVSP portal of Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that legal language should be simple and easily understandable so that the legal system becomes more accessible. He also referred to the role of legal literature in reflecting constitutional values and India's cultural heritage. 

Secretary, Legislative Department, Dr. Rajiv Mani, said the portal would enable convenient digital access to publications issued by Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan, while Additional Secretary Dr. Manoj Kumar outlined the expected outcomes of the platform, including greater accessibility and wider dissemination of Hindi legal literature. 

Officials of the Legislative Department and the National Informatics Centre (NIC) also presented the operational aspects of the portal during the launch event.
