Mizoram Notifies New Recruitment Rules for Junior Engineers in Local Administration

The Government of Mizoram has issued "The Mizoram Rural Development & Administration Department (Group 'B' post under Directorate of Local Administration) Recruitment Rules, 2025," a new set of regulations governing the method of recruitment for the post of Junior Engineer. The total number of posts for Junior Engineer is specified as 13, subject to change by the Government. Key provisions outline that 75% of vacancies will be filled by promotion, while 25% will be through direct recruitment. Furthermore, the rules include a saving clause to ensure that reservations, age limit relaxations, and other concessions for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Ex-servicemen, and other special categories, as per Government of Mizoram orders, remain unaffected.
