Mizoram Notifies New Recruitment Rules for Microscopist Posts

The Government of Mizoram recently issued The Mizoram Health & Family Welfare Department (Group 'C' post) Recruitment Rules, 2025, a significant piece of delegated legislation aimed at streamlining the hiring process for Microscopist positions within the Health & Family Welfare Department. For direct recruitment, candidates must be between 18 and 35 years of age, with the crucial date for age determination being the closing date for application receipt. Educational qualifications include a Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or above, coupled with a Certificate course in Medical Laboratory Technician or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute. Additionally, applicants must possess basic computer knowledge as prescribed by the government and achieve a minimum score in a qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency. The method of recruitment is stipulated as 100% direct recruitment, with a probation period of two years. A key provision addresses disqualification, stating that individuals who have entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living, or vice-versa, shall not be eligible for appointment, though the State Government retains the power to grant exemptions under specific conditions related to personal law and valid grounds.
