President appoints 7 Advocates as Judges of Patna High Court

The President of India has appointed three Judges and 4 Additional Judges to the Patna High Court. The names of the advocates appointed to the Patna High Court are listed below based on segregation as Judges and Additional Judges. Among the 9 advocates recommended by the Collegium, 7 have been approved by the Government for appointment to the Patna High Court.
Appointed as Patna High Court Judges
- Advocate Ranjan Kumar Jha,
- Advocate Kumar Manish,
- Advocate Raj Kumar,
The aforementioned have been appointed as Judges of the Patna High Court.
Appointed as Additional Judges
- Rana Vikram Singh,
- Advocate Vikash Kumar
- Advocate Girijish Kumar, and
- Advocate Alok Kumar,
The aforementioned have been appointed as the Additional Judges of the Patna High Court.
Collegium Recommendation
It may be noted that the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended 9 advocates for appointment as Patna High Court Judges as per official statement dated 26th February, 2026. However, the Central Government skipped two names while appointing 7 advocates as Judges and Additional Judges of the Patna High Court. The two advocates who missed out on being appointed as judges of the Patna High Court for the time being are Advocate Md. Nadim Seraj and Advocate Sanjeev Kumar
