Telecom Assistant Recruitment Rules Updated with Broader Qualification Criteria

The Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunications, issued a significant amendment to the recruitment framework for the Telecom Assistant Group 'C' post. Additionally, the rules specify that these qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Staff Selection Commission or the Competent Authority for otherwise well-qualified candidates. Furthermore, the method of recruitment, specified under column (10) of the Schedule, has also been revised. The new provision stipulates that 100% of the vacancies for the Telecom Assistant Group 'C' post will be filled by Direct Recruitment through the Staff Selection Commission, with deputation (including short-term contract) serving as a fallback mechanism if direct recruitment fails to meet the requirements.
