Young Practitioners Workshop on Construction Delay Disputes on 23rd April, 2026 – Register Now

The Society of Construction Law India, through its Young International Council (YIC), is organizing a workshop on Construction Delay Disputes in India. The event shall take place alongside the 3rd International Conference on Construction Law and Arbitration in Mumbai. Earlier, YIC conducted the inaugural workshop conducted in Delhi in December 2025.

Overview of Construction Delay Disputes Workshop

  • Event: Young Practitioners Workshop
  • Date: 23rd April 2026
  • Time: 6:00 PM onwards (Workshop begins at 6:30 PM sharp)
  • Venue: The Prince, National Sports Club of India
  • Fee: Rs 1,400 per participant

Workshop Format

The workshop will revolve around a simulated Employer-Contractor dispute based on a construction project. The scenario will cover key issues commonly encountered in construction disputes, including: 

  • Project delays
  • Escalating costs
  • Extension of time and prolongation claims
  • Liquidated damages

The participants of Young Practitioners Workshop will be provided with a concise briefing document (2–3 pages) containing background facts and relevant contractual extracts. They will then be divided into smaller groups to engage in discussions and practical problem-solving exercises. The format is designed to mirror the structure used in the Delhi edition of the workshop. 

Registration Details

Participation in the workshop is subject to mandatory registration. Registration will be considered complete only upon receipt of payment.

The Young International Council (YIC) is an initiative of the Society of Construction Law India. It comprises a global network of young professionals committed to promoting knowledge, ethics, and best practices in construction law. The YIC focuses on fostering education, mentorship, and professional development opportunities within the construction law community.
